This is Bob, who we lovingly refer to as “Cookie Bob” for all the delicious reasons you might expect.
Bob heard about OneGenAway through our annual Radiothon on 94 FM The Fish. His office is next-door to the radio station, and he had made a habit of bringing the radio team breakfast and cookies. When he heard about OneGenAway, he fell in love with the mission.
“I gave them some money, and then I thought, ‘Well, I ought to go and see what’s going on,’” he said. “So, I ended up showing up at the Mobile Pantry one day just to see how they were doing it, and then I just kept coming.”
Pretty soon, he started bringing cookies for our volunteers too, and they always get gobbled up fast.
He has spent a lot of time perfecting his classic triple chocolate (which was his wife’s favorite) and oatmeal raisin recipes, and he occasionally will bring a new recipe for OneGenAway to taste test for him, such as blueberry cheesecake.
“I do a little research on the internet. I go through a bunch of recipes and find one that sounds good and start building from there.”
We are so thankful for Bob, not only for blessing us with cookies, but for his kind and generous spirit.
